One of the races from the World Cup series
28-30 May 1999
The championship was organized by the
CAVALLONI FERENC Modelling Club with support of the the Hungarian Association of
Modellers.
In terms of the number of participants this championship is among the 5 largest World Cup
series events. All events were held on the pastures of DÖMSÖD, which can be accessed via
the road between DÖMSÖD and APAJ-LOWLAND.
Dömsöd lies about 51 km in south of BUDAPEST on the left bank of the Ráckeve
arm of the little Danube river. The flying field is a big grazing ground
with the size approx. 3x7 km with some water canal.
In this competition altogether were 215 competitors from 20 countries, it was the second
biggest number of competitors after the World Championships.
28th May
In this day was the registration from 16.00 to 21.00 in the Community Center at Dömsöd.
29th May
In this day was the F1A contest with 125 competitors
The competition began at 10.00 a.m.
During the competition the sun was shinning, the wind was 1-3 metre/ second.
The 1st round of fly-off began at 6.40 p.m. with 40 competitors. The second round began at
7.20 p.m. with 17 competitors. At that time nobody could flying 7 minutes, so this round
has decided the finaly results.

In this day were the F1B contest with 58 competitors and F1C contest with 32 competitors.
During this day the weather condition was
same the previous day.
The 1st round began at 10.00 a.m.
After the 7th round in F1B remained 16 competitors, and in F1C remained 6 competitors.
The 1st round of fly-off began at 6.40 p.m
In F1C only 4 competitors could flying 5 minutes. The second round began at 7.20 p.m. In
this round 3 competitors remained. The latest round has decided the finaly results.

In F1B after the 1st round of fly-off remained 13 competitors.
This day was a mistake in F1B category. When the fly-off began, Marcus Rolands came to the bureau and ask your start card. As luck would have it remained on the desk (it was full). After the 1st round he was given a chance to fly. So this fact the second round began only 7.30 p.m. In this round were 13 competitors but only two could flying 420 seconds. The 3rd round, which began at 8.30 p.m. has decided the finaly results.
